Jake Velazquez

Jake Velazquez is a New York-based stand-up comedian who was named one of New York's Funniest in 2024 after being selected as a Comic to Watch in 2023. Last year, he completed his first headlining tour, performing in 15 cities. He's also been featured at comedy festivals including Skankfest, Big Sky, and Red Clay. Over the past 4 years Jake has been the opening act for Jordan Jensen, including on her debut Netflix special "Take Me With You" and her recent bus tour. A native New Yorker, Jake only grew to be 5'6" because of the tiny spaces he was confined to with his five sisters, Puerto Rican father, and Jewish mother. His comedy blends edgy observations with stories that poke fun at his own insecurities and the embarrassing moments that come with living an unconventional life. He has been described by many as "hilarious" and "smaller than expected in person."
